National Sales Manager

The position of Experienced National Sales Manager or Key Accounts Manager is a Key role in the design and implementation of market, trade, channel and key account strategy for each product category and main liaison for internal and external parties and contribute to our company’s sales objectives. Your responsibilities also include supervising the sales team and building long-term client relationships.

  • Customer Development:
    • Maintain close contact with key customers and distributors
    • Quarterly business review with major channels (key accounts) and distributors teams (monthly meetings, weekly telephone calls)
    • Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
    • Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
    • Present our company to potential clients
    • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
    • Customize product solutions to increase customer satisfaction

    • Optimize product portfolio to increase and maximize sales with excellent product visibility of shelves for priority products
    • Customers and Distributors should follow HST Sales plan as main turnover KPI
    • Ensure customers and Distributors should follow HST Sales plan as main turnover KPI
    • Store checks together with customers and distributors
  • Initiate and implement trade marketing plan for all categories, monthly/ quarterly promotional plans:
    • Initiate and implement trade marketing plan for all categories, monthly/ quarterly promotional plans
    • Work closely with Marketing for promotional plan design
    • Communicate in time with all Customers and distributors yearly events (marketing calendar activities and leaflets)
    • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency
  • Market Intelligence:
    • Be aware of market trends and competition

Area Supervisor

Responsible for a number of stores in an allocated area. You’ll be responsible for staff and you’ll work closely with other senior managers and department managers.

  • Major accountabilities:
    • Increase standards of customer service
    • Provide training and development for staff

  • Develop Business Plans:
    • Area Sales Managers oversee the sales department, which means they must develop an overall business plan, including sales strategies and profit goals. This includes performing territory and sales analyses, assessing the results and adjusting sales strategies accordingly.
  • Perform Sales Visits:
    • Often requiring travel, Area Sales Managers visit potential and current clients in order to provide product information, answer client questions and concerns and build brand awareness. They do this through both individual meetings and larger sales presentations.
  • Secure Sales:
    • One of the most important functions of any sales team member, including the Area Sales Manager, is the secure sales for their company. As an Area Sales Manager, this is done both directly and through team members. This includes securing both individual sales and contracts, depending on the company and product, and deals can be made over the phone, through email or in person through sales visits.
  • Build Relationships:
    • In order to perform sales duties, an Area Sales Manager must build and maintain key relationships with potential and current clients. Using excellent interpersonal skills, the Area Sales Manager networks to form new relationships with potential clients and follows up with potential and current clients through phone, email and sometimes regular visits.
  • Manage Sales Team:
    • The Area Sales Manager leads a team of sales people which can include the Sales Manager. This entails many different tasks, including training sales employees, holding regular conference calls, reviewing team member expense reports, coaching, motivating and supporting the sales team, and ensuring that employees are achieving their sales goals.
