This ointment has traditionally been used for a myriad of purposes. Traditionally used for flatulence, for the expulsion of wind in women after delivery, it is also used as a remedy for pain and itch associated with insect bites, along with a treatment for minor burns, cuts, bruises, and muscle aches. It can be applied onto affected areas 3-4 times a day.
